In line with the DfE requirements, you not obliged, if attending the nursery on Full Funding to avail yourself of consumable ( chargeable extras )
Government Funding entitlement does not cover consumables including cost of nappies and wipes etc
Meat and Dairy / Hot & Cold
- Parents may send either meat or dairy meals for lunch and dinner. With separate meat and dairy microwaves, hot meals can be provided. At mealtimes, children sit at designated meat or dairy tables.
Providing Meals
- We do not supply meals, as we found that parents prefer control over their child’s diet in early years. Because parents are absent at mealtimes, we return all uneaten food and report on what was eaten, helping parents track preferences and portion sizes.
Kashrus and Healthy Eating
- All food must carry a hechsher or appear on an approved kashrus list.
We follow a healthy eating policy aligned with the NHS Eat Well Guide and UK government lunchbox guidelines.
Breakfast and Snacks
- Breakfast (before 9:00am) is available for a small fee*, offering a daily choice of cereals and milk
- Children have two snack times daily—mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
(Nappies & wipes: we will supply most preferred brands at cost price.)
*estimated cost of nappies and wipes are calculated at the start of each year and prices are charged based on a child’s likely usage according to attendance and age. Planned usage can be amended over the course of the year. Breakfast is also charged at cost with selection of cereals at <20p per day. Milk is free unless special milk is requested
